The highly-rated Hasan, ranked 4th by Rivals in the cornerback category and 27th overall, has chosen Notre Dame over prestigious institutions like Florida State, Ohio State, North Carolina, and Tennessee. This decision comes after a memorable visit to South Bend in September, which left a lasting impression on the young athlete.
During his visit, Hasan felt a strong connection with the university, and his return for the Navy game in November further solidified his commitment. In his own words, Hasan expressed his excitement, stating, 'It felt really good. I've been thinking about it for months, and it just felt right for this moment.'
The recruitment process was influenced by the honest and genuine approach of Notre Dame's coaching staff, particularly Mike Mickens, who has a proven track record of developing top defensive backs. Hasan's admiration for Mickens' work with players like Sauce Gardner, Leonard Moore, Benjamin Morrison, and Christian Gray played a crucial role in his decision.
'Coach Mickens has recruited and developed some incredible DBs, and I want to be surrounded by that kind of talent,' Hasan said. 'I want to become a great ballplayer, and having these guys around me will help me achieve that.'
Notre Dame's 2027 class, which now includes Hasan as the ninth commit, was already ranked 6th in the Rivals Industry Standings before his pledge. The program's success in 2026, ranked 2nd by Rivals, further underscores the strength of the Irish football program.
